ICE FISH CARSON LAKE

Does anyone know for sure if you can ice fish Carson. I was thinking you could not because its a water shed. Looking for someone who knows for sure?

Ive been hearing of people going there this year because you can get in to it without there being any snow but I thought you cant ice fish Jerry Creek for the same reason. water shed.

I tried looking it up online with no luck. I'd bet it is a no go with the watershed deal like pathway said. Those brookies sure would be fun to play with all day.

I was able to drive into 40 acre and caught a few small brook, but after this storm they may close the gate on FS121.

And there is no one out on the east end if you get in trouble.

I can, get around out there pretty good. I hope they don't close the gate too soon. Can you still get to Bonham if they close it?

Probably from the Cedaredge side by going up the old Grand Mesa road then taking the logging road to the NE. If it doesn't snow too much you could make that. The roads were dusty where there was no snow and the snow was only in the heavy timber. The deepest snow was around Neversweat.
Call the Forest Service in Delta about the gate closure. The gal that answers the phone will be able to tell you.
