Welcome! I don't ice fish much! Do fish open water on the front range? I make it over there a couple of times a year from the spring-fall.I've fished Deckers,Spinney(Dream Stream)& Chatfield.Looking for some good less pressured fisheries for Bass,Trout, and Pike east of the Divide. If you have any suggestions,I would appreciate it!

From my travels over there I've found lake Loveland to be an amazing bass fishery. Shad type baits like under spin swimbaits and spinner baits with a grub trailer. Just south of there a couple miles there are some awesome ponds loaded with good sized bass. Two miles or so south of there are some baseball fields they are just across the road. I'm sure Two Bears knows some more about it

For sure, I straightened out two hooks on my plopper at those ponds. Learned a lot about what rod to use and how much drag to set.

I got a heavy rod for my 130 Plopper but so far nothing over 2 1/2lbs.I hope to get into some big ones this year! I might have to go by the those ponds when I go visit my friend near Horsetooth
