green river and mesa lakes question

this might be the dumbest question ever, but i have never fished before in my life, so i just don't know.

how do i fish the green river, the yampa river, or the lakes up on the mesa? can i fish from the banks, or would it be better to be on the water?

The green is easily hike-able. You wont cross it but it is wadeable form the bank.

Most all of the lakes on the Meas are easy to walk around and have great bank fishing.

The Yampa can be fished up high for trout very well from the bank.

Get a float tube to fish the mesa and the green river it is a hoot!!

The Yampa River below Hayden is one of the best smallie fisheries in the region and probably still our best pike fishery. The green is good if you like lots of browns and a few bows, and fishes well for catfish about 40 miles downstream of Flaming Gorge.
